Mrs. Stacy Folkmann

Education:  Mrs. Folkmann holds a degree in Elementary Education and music concentration from Concordia University, Chicago, IL.  She has a Directors Certification from Red Rocks Community College.
Personal Info:  Mrs. Folkmann is married.  She and her husband have two children– a first grader enrolled at GLS and a two year old.  They live in the mountains with their three dogs and enjoy doing family activities.
Favorite Bible Verse:  Mrs. Folkmann’s bible verse is  Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  Mrs. Folkmann remembers this being the theme verse for the first teacher’s conference she attended after graduating.  She felt it reaffirmed that she had picked the correct path.
Why do you love teaching?  Mrs. Folkmann loves working with preschooleres because of the daily rewards that come with the job.  She also loves working at GLS because it’s a fun place to glorify the Lord and thank him for his continuous blessings.
Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Random Tid Bits:  Mrs. Folkmann is the 3rd generation in her family to hold an administrative position in a Lutheran school.  She loves music and all Chicago sports teams!

Mrs. Kayla Leopold

5-6 Grade Teacher

Education:  Mrs. Leopold holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern New Mexico University and minored in language arts.
Personal Info:  Mrs. Leopold has been married for 19 years.  She and her husband have two daughters–their oldest is in high school and their youngest is a student at GLS.  They also have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Oliver.
Favorite Bible Verse:  Mrs. Leopold’s favorite bible verse is Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forging each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.”  Mrs. Leopold likes this verse because she feels that so much of our happiness depends on how we live out this verse in our lives.
Why do you love teaching?  I love being able to help middle school kids work through who they are becoming in Christ!
Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Random Tid Bits:  Mrs. Leopold loves to sing, read and spend time with her large extended family.

Mrs. Kathi Hinkel

7th & 8th Grade Teacher

Education:  Mrs. Hinkel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Cal State in Fullerton, CA.  She has her Master of Arts in Education from Claremont Graduate University, CA and has an emphasis in Cross Cultural Language Acquisition.
Personal Info: Mrs. Hinkel is married with four children and two grandchildren.  She lived in Southern California before moving to Colorado in 2010.
Favorite Bible Verse: Mrs. Hinkel’s favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  It reminds her that  no matter what happens she can talk to God and receive his peace.
Why do you love teaching?  Mrs. Hinkel believes that teaching is a calling and she loves it because she has the honor of spending time in mutual learning and sharing the good news of God’s love, grace, and mercy with her students and their families.

Mrs. Pamela Siebarth

Education: Mrs. Siebarth has an Associate of Arts in Education from Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI; a Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia Univeristy, Seward, NE; and has done some graduate studies at Eastern Michigan Univeristy.
Personal Info:  Mrs. Siebarth was born in Texas, lived in Michigan and then moved to Colorado.  She is married and she and her husband have two children.  Her daughter is a Lutheran School teacher in Colorado and her son is currently enrolled in college.
Favorite Bible Verse: Mrs. Siebarth’s favorite bible verse is John 14:6, “Jesus answered them, “I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  It is both her and her husband’s confirmation verse.
Why do you love teaching? Mrs. Siebarth loves that she is able to share the love of Jesus in all subjects with her students.  She loves working with other great teachers and with the loving and supporting families.
Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Random Tid Bits:  Mrs. Siebarth loves to travel, go biking, go camping and to sew.  She has successfully gotten up on a surf board but only one tme.  She also loves to see the sparkle in a student’s eyes when they finally get it!

Education:  Mrs. Meineke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University in Chicago, IL.
Personal Info:  Mrs. Meineke’s husband is also a Lutheran School teacher.  They have three children.  Their oldest daughter is a high school math teacher in Michigan.  Their son is a physical therapist in Wisconsin and their youngest daughter is a third grade teacher in Iowa.  They have three grandchildren  Mrs. Meineke also coaches volleyball and track and has taught at Gethsemane for 20 years!
Favorite Bible Verse:  Mrs. Meineke’s favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  This verse reminds Mrs. Meineke that God is in control and will take care of her in all of life’s circumstances.
Why do you love teaching? Mrs. Meineke loves teaching because every day she gets to share the love of Jesus with her students.
Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Random Tid Bits:  Mrs. Meineke makes cards and has been a part of a card making group for over 10 years.  She also works for a catering company and ushers for the Colorado Rockies.

Miss Linda Larrabee

Education:  Miss Larrabee holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University in Seward, NE and a master’s degree from Regis University in Denver, CO
Personal Info:  Miss Larrabee has been teaching for 40 years.  Of those 40 years, 30 of them have been at Gethsemane!
Favorite Bible Verse:  Miss Larrabee’s favorite bible verse is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”  This is Miss Larrabee’s confirmation verse.
Why do you love teaching?  Miss Larrabee loves teaching because she gets to talk to children about Jesus every day!

Education:  Mrs. Stiles holds a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
Personal Info:  Mrs. Stiles grew up in Oregon and Wyoming.  She and her husband, Mike, have two boys–Braden and Conner.  They also have a dog, two cats and a bird.
Favorite Bible Verse:  Mrs. Stile’s favorite bible verse is Romans 8:28; “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who have been called according to his purpose.”  Mrs. Stiles finds peace in this verse.
Why do you love teaching?  Mrs. Stiles loves that she gets to share the love of Jesus every day!  She enjoys watching how excited students get when they learn something new.
Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Random Tid Bits:  Mrs. Stiles is a HUGE hockey fan and enjoys watching the Colorado Avalanche.  She has a big heart for animals and enjoys playing video games.

Education:  Mrs. Mullet has taken Montessori teacher training and child development classes.
Personal Info:  Mrs. Mullet was born and raised in Hawaii.  She moved to Colorado in 1993.  She and her husband have two sons that attend GLS.
Favorite Bible Verse:  Mrs. Mullet’s favorite bible verse is  Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”  This verse reminds her that every part of life–good or bad–is part of God’s plan and that it will be okay.
Why do you love what you do?  Mrs. Mullet loves working with three and four year olds.  She finds it rewarding when their faces light up when they realize that they can do things on their own.
Hobbies, Fun Facts, and Random Tid Bits: Mrs. Mullet loves to read and watch cooking competitions on TV.  Some of her favorite shows are Chopped, Top Chef, and Master Chef.  She also enjoys trying different recipes that she finds on Pinterest.
