At Gethsemane Lutheran School we believe in developing well-rounded individuals. This is done through a variety of activities throughout the day as well as extra-curricular after school activities.
Students in 4th grade through 8th grade can participate in our sports program. Participation in the sports program gives students the opportunity to learn rules and basic skills. Gethsemane participates in girls volleyball in the fall, boys and girls basketball in the winter, boys and girls track in the spring. In addition, students from 1st grade to 8th grade participate in the area Lutheran Schools Field Day.
Students compete in various academic competitions throughout the school year at area Lutheran schools. These competitions include a speech competition, spelling bee, math competition and a writing competition. Students have the opportunity to participate in various fairs including the Science Fair, Social Studies Fair, and Academic Fair throughout their years at Gethsemane.
Students in 3rd grade through 8th grade who demonstrate academic excellence and make the honor roll are honored at the end of the year.
